Type / Elements

The rear façade leads to Pedregar Street, in a part of the old town with few patrimonial elements and is in the process of recovery. Just in front are the pictures of the former barracks of the Carmen and a dry stone containment wall, with a small landscaped space that, until recently, served as a car park. The rear façade is divided vertically into three bodies by means of back-to-back pilasters in a brick-colored view of red color. The two lateral bodies, with a tower shape, have a crown with 5 segments of raised cornices, vertical and narrow simulated windows at the top and a door space (only the one on the left) at street level . These openings are framed with half-pointed arch with red brick voussoirs that reach the impost lines that unify the entire facade.

The central body has a more widespread taped door than the others, and on top of a lowered window with five windows with simulated wooden enclosures. Above the window there are two lines marked with the same form of a lowered arch, the upper part of which delimits the center body and the painted area. In the part of the pediment there is another blind window with half-point arch without frames. The wall is plastered and painted in a light green color, in contrast to the red brick, with the exception of the base, high and lined with sand stone ashlars, and the pediment, plastered unpainted. The rhythm and composition of the openings as well as the chromaticity of the facade are treated as a set design, as a symbol of the function of the building.

The main access facade of c. Shoe shop is a vertical body of PB + 2 heights and has been recently restored. The wall is plastered and painted in a reddish color that contrasts with the clear color of the frames of the openings and the stone of the base. In P1 there is a window divided in four with three pillars of division that have a back-up column and the arcs are depressed. The two windows of the P2 are together in the central part of the facade and have concave depressed arcs. The cornice is prominent.
