Sant Joan de Déu hospital (Althaia)

The Hospital of Sant Joan de Déu Althaia is the main hospital of Manresa. Opened in 1932, it has undergone several extensions and reforms over the years, becoming the reference hospital of Central Catalonia.
With the latest expansion, the new building is characterized by its luminosity, its spacious and functional spaces. The Althaia Foundation has taken into account the contributions of the professionals themselves in order to achieve the comfort of the users and the best conditions to carry out the assistance tasks.
The Hospital of Sant Joan de Déu has a total area of 60,000 m2 (40,000 m2 and 20,000 m2 of the initial building), plus some 18,000 m2 of parking.
It has, among others, 402 large beds, 17 operating rooms, 4 part rooms, 69 offices, 54 emergency room boxes and 16 beds of emergency observation.
